How can I submit the printing data?

You have a wide variety of possibilities. One of them is to visit us personally with the data stored on a suitable medium (USB, CD). If the data do not exceed 20 MB, it is possible to send them via e-mail to tlac@devinprint.sk. It is also possible to use our FTP server with larger data files; we will send you the access data if requested.

What are the disadvantages of the offset printing technology?

From the financial point of view, the main disadvantage of the offset printing technology is the high amount of fixed input expenses. That means the expenses in lower print runs are very high. Another limitation is the time factor. When using digital technology, it is possible to start printing practically within a pair of minutes; however, printing on an offset machine requires a long-lasting process of creating the matrix and the machine’s start-up.

What are the disadvantages of the digital printing technology?

The main weakness of digital printing technology remains the quality of printing. Graininess and saturation of colours and surfaces are typical for this kind of technology. Another disadvantage is that in higher print runs the price does not decrease as in offset technology. In plain English, if you start the offset machine up, there is no big difference between the price of 500 and 1,000 sheets; on the contrary, when using digital printing technology, the price rises continually, that means you pay for 50 pieces almost the half of the price of 100 pieces.

What if I don’t have a clear idea of which form I should choose?

In this case, we are pleased to consult all possible varieties of printing in our office in Devin by a cup of coffee. You can choose between a wide range of paper samples and/or various (printing) products of our printing house.

What are the delivery dates within a low print run?

One of the main advantages in low-print run book printing in our printing house is the time of production of the printing work. In contrast with standard offset technology, the production process is 80 % shorter. We guarantee our customers the delivery date within two working days after submitting the correct data.

Do you offer prepress services?

Yes, our company offers prepress services, which include the composition, text correction and graphic design.

In which format should I submit my data for printing?

The supported format for printing is Adobe PDF. In case of colour printing, the data have to be submitted in CMYK colour model. In case of photography printing, RGB model is required. If you need prepress services, the primary format should be Microsoft Office DOC.
